Join our 2008 Wool Quilt Block-of-the-Month project!

We are making a beautiful, warm wool quilt this year. Each block's design is applique. We try to cut as many shapes for you as possible, but there may be some tracing/cutting for you to do as well. The "sashing and filler" areas may include some traditional quilt piecing (flying geese, etc.). Before adding borders, this quilt measures 60"x72". Dividing the quilt into 12 blocks (12 months) makes this a simple and affordable heirloom for you to create!

When you sign up, you simply pay $30 for the pattern and $25 for your first month's shipment of wool (plus $3 to mail). Each month thereafter, we will send out your $25 kits until the 12 months are over. Backing/binding is not included in the kit, but we will be happy to quote you a price on these features when you're ready.

So far, our local gals have completed 6 blocks....the 7th is almost ready to go. We will post the completed blocks as they are ready, and the completed quilt when it is done. You may start with the first block, or you may purchase all or any number of the blocks at once. The blocks can be completed in any order - they won't be stitched together in quilt form until you have all of them finished. So, it's up to you! To participate, you must give us a credit/debit card to use for each monthly shipment. We accept ISA/Mastercard and Discover Card.
